Some of our favorite projects aren’t completed all at once — they grow and evolve over the years.
Hodgdon-Tyler Family Landscaping recently had the opportunity to add this gorgeous outdoor fireplace to the backyard oasis of two of our favorite longtime clients. We’ve been working with them for several years, thoughtfully adding new elements along the way and helping transform their outdoor space into a place that truly feels like an extension of their home.
For this latest addition, we started with an outdoor fireplace “kit,” but we didn’t stop there. We customized the design and made several features our own, incorporating details and craftsmanship that helped the fireplace feel like it was always meant to be part of this landscape. Rather than simply assembling a standard kit, our goal was to give it a custom-built look and make sure it complemented everything we had already created throughout the property.
That’s one of the things we enjoy most about landscaping — taking a vision and finding ways to make it personal. Every property is different, and sometimes that means modifying a product, changing details, or adding our own creative touches to achieve the look and feel that’s right for the space.
An outdoor fireplace also adds so much more than a beautiful focal point. It creates a gathering place — somewhere to sit around the fire on a cool evening, spend time with family and friends, entertain guests, or simply relax and enjoy the backyard.
We’re especially grateful when clients invite us back year after year to continue building on what we started together. There’s a lot of satisfaction in looking back at where a property began and seeing how each new project has helped create a complete outdoor living environment.
A big thank-you to these wonderful clients for continuing to trust Hodgdon-Tyler Family Landscaping with their property and allowing our team to bring new ideas to their backyard oasis. We’re proud of how this fireplace turned out, and even more proud that it will be enjoyed for many years to come.
